About
Welcome to LEVEL Restaurant & Bar Richmond, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. Located at 2007 W Broad St, this vibrant establishment offers an unforgettable dining experience that seamlessly marries traditional sushi craftsmanship with a contemporary flair.
As a self-proclaimed sushi enthusiast, I was eager to explore what LEVEL has to offer, and I can confidently say it lives up to the hype. The ambiance is inviting, characterized by a warm and stylish decor that sets the perfect backdrop for your meal. From the moment you step in, you are enveloped in a lively atmosphere that is enhanced by great music and a buzzing crowd.
One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the sushi chefs at work. Customers rave about their impressive knife skills, with one reviewer humorously suggesting they might moonlight as ninjas. The precision and artistry put into each dish truly reflect the commitment to quality and presentation here. The salmon sashimi was a standout, fresh and elegantly plated, a sheer delight that truly bowed to my taste buds!
Speaking of standout dishes, the menu is a treasure trove designed for sushi lovers. The gyoza, edamame, and a variety of rolls like the oshi roll, level king roll, and the fiery angry dragon roll received rave reviews from patrons. Each bite of these dishes sings with flavor, showcasing the chefs' mastery of bold yet harmonious seasoning. One customer described the grilled mussels as a delightful surprise, slightly spicy and savory, leaving them eager for more.
For those who appreciate sushi, LEVEL is a paradise. The Tropical Roll with its tempura mango and mango sauce brings a twist of sweetness, while the Spider Roll and Godzilla Roll offer a delightful combination of textures and flavors that are simply irresistible. Patrons unanimously applaud the Happy House Tuna Rolls, declaring them "freaking amazing." It's no wonder that many diners, including my fellow sushi junkies, consider this establishment a must-visit.
In addition to the exceptional food, the happy hour at LEVEL is a perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy guided selections from a full bar. The presentation of every dish is nothing short of impeccable, making it as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate. Whether you're a longtime sushi lover or a newbie, LEVEL Restaurant & Bar Richmond welcomes you to indulge in a remarkable culinary journey.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in Richmond, this restaurant is not just a dining option; it's an experience waiting to be savored. Come for the sushi, stay for the ambiance, and leave with your heart full and your appetite satisfied. I know I'll be back for another round of those divine rolls!

“ Wow, they actually have grilled mussels at his place. They were a little spicy, but so delicious that I finished them all really quickly. I even forgot to take pictures. We also ordered sushi dinner and yellowtail chin. They were so good ”
“ A classic RVA diamond in the rough! First time visit and I'll definitely make this part on my regular sushi circuit around town! Presentation was impeccable. The whitefish and white tuna sashimi were next Level! (pun intended ). Great HH, great music and sound system, and a full bar too! ”
“ So went out with my bestie today for lunch. We are sushi junkies and decided on trying Level because her daughter highly recommended it. OmG so worth every penny. I had the Tropical Roll, a tempura roll will Mango and Mango sauce. We also tried the Spider Roll and Godzilla Roll. The Happy House Tuna Rolls are Freaking amazing. If you like sushi this is your place. Will definitely visit again. ”
“ i ordered from this restaurant thru uber eats so i didn’t have in person experience BUT seriously, whats not to love about this place? hands down best hibachi place around. the food is always amazing quality, fresh, hot & tasty. my uber order took an hr to get to me and even so, the food was just as hot as if i ordered it in the restaurant! im so happy with my food. theres a bit of a price tag for their food but 1000% worth paying the price. this place deserves every penny (the picture shows slightly smaller proportion because i couldnt resist eating some before snapping a picture) ”
“ My daughter was having a sushi fix so we looked up a couple of new places to go to and she wanted to try level especially because they have a light up bar. Located right on Broad Street we were able to park right out front. As my daughter put it it looks a little sketchy from the outside but inside is very nice and very cool. We sat at the bar had a wonderful bartender service. My daughter got a couple of Shirley Temple's that she was very excited about and then moved her glass all over the Bar top watching the lights turn on. Really good size bar to sit at not an overly large place inside but they had a quite a few tables and it looks like they actually had an upstairs as well. They have a large chalkboard that had a number of daily specials listed on it so depending on what you're looking for certain days may be better for you. We ordered a Dragon Roll, Chesapeake roll and eel love roll. Good size portions and great presentation. My daughter said that the Chesapeake roll was her new favorite sushi. There were a good amount of people in there but our food came still pretty quick. I would highly recommend this place have a great atmosphere good bar scene and really good sushi! ”
“ Amazing food. Presentation was really nice. Food had great flavor, would definitely come back again. The outside looks like you’d want to pass by it but don’t. You’ll be glad to checked them out. ”
